1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Best Cars Online mobile application (the "App"), made available on Google Play. The App allows you to browse vehicle listings for sale, hire, rent-to-own and auction from participating dealers, and to contact dealers about a vehicle you are interested in.

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.


2. No account or login required

The App does not require you to create an account, register, or log in to browse vehicles. We do not collect usernames, passwords, or maintain user profiles for App visitors.


3. Information you choose to provide

The App does not collect any personal information automatically. Some information is only collected if you voluntarily choose to use the following optional features:

Enquiries about a vehicle – if you submit an enquiry/contact form for a vehicle, we collect the details you enter (such as your name, email address, phone number and message) so the relevant dealer can respond to you.

Finance applications – if you choose to apply for vehicle finance through the App, we collect the information you provide on that form (such as name, surname, ID number, address, contact details, employment and income information, and any documents you choose to upload, e.g. copy of ID, proof of address, bank statements). This information is sent securely to the relevant dealer/finance department to process your application and is not used for any other purpose.

Sharing via WhatsApp – the App lets you share a vehicle listing via WhatsApp or your device's share sheet. When you use this feature, the App may temporarily download the vehicle's image to your device so it can be attached to the message. This happens locally on your device through the share feature you trigger – we do not receive or store this information.


4. Device permissions

The App may request access to your device's storage/files only when you choose to attach a document (e.g. ID, proof of address, bank statement) to a finance application, or when sharing a vehicle image via WhatsApp/another app. These permissions are used solely for the feature you are actively using and are not accessed in the background.


5. How information is used and shared

Information you submit through enquiry or finance application forms is shared only with the relevant dealer/dealership on the platform so they can respond to your request. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing purposes.

We do not use any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs in the App.


6. Data retention & security

Information submitted via forms is transmitted to our servers and forwarded to the relevant dealer for the purpose of handling your enquiry or application. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect this information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, and retain it only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was provided, or as required by law.


7. Your rights

If you have submitted information to us via an enquiry or finance application and would like to access, correct, or request deletion of that information, please contact us using the details below.


8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.


9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
